    Season 2 of the Racing Edge SimRacing Series continued with an enthralling race at Sebring!

    Following last week's epic opener at Daytona, which saw arguably one of the greatest ever final laps in virtual racing, our competitors returned for a thrilling Round 2.

    New SimRacing Season, New Prizes

    • Eight races across two categories + final Championship race
    • Porsche RSR GTE and Porsche 718 GT4

    Following the success of our inaugural SimRacing Series, Racing Edge presents Season 2: bigger, better, faster!

    This time we welcome back the likes of former GT3 Cup champion Daniel Morad, last week's winner Kaden Bihn and Formula 3 racer Nicolas Varrone. Drivers face extreme competition and get to test themselves against the best in the business.

    The new SimRacing series comprises of an initial eight sprint races across two categories – the Porsche RSR GTE and Porsche 718 GT4 – for cash prizes and championship points. The 10 best drivers from each category then qualify for a ninth race, the Championship Race, where $1,500 will be up for grabs!

    In each race, the top three podium places in each category will win cash prizes.

    SimRacing Categories

    The top 10 finishers in each category will earn championship points. Each race lasts 40 minutes, with a short qualifying session beforehand.

    Hosted once again by 2017 Rolex Daytona 24 Hours winner Morad, the SimRacing series takes place on the iRacing platform in conjunction with broadcasters GlobalSimRacingChannel.

    The races take place every Tuesday at 7pm EST (4pm PST). Races are broadcast live on the Racing Edge YouTube channel. Each event consists of practice, qualifying and race sessions as well as post-race interviews. Make sure you tune in!

    The first two races have seen a huge volume of registrants. Going forward, make sure you get in early to avoid disappointment.

    A SimRacing cracker at Sebring!

    Round 2 of the Racing Edge SimRacing Series Season 2 provided exceptional drama at Sebring!

    The punishing, bumpy circuit is a crown jewel in American road racing. It proved to be a difficult challenge for our competitors in tricky conditions.

    Both categories saw several big incidents and plenty of aggressive driving as the sun set on Sebring.

    In the GTE category, championship leader Kaden Bihn battled with Alex Simonic in a bid to make it back-to-back SimRacing victories. But once again there was late drama! Watch the video to find out who came out on top for the $125 top prize!

    "That was a very challenging race - but very fun!" said Simonic afterwards.

    For the two remaining podium positions, Juliano Romagnuolo, Nicolas Varrone, Carlos Cantu, Guilhem Piepers and Alexander Davidson put on a tremendous show of SimRacing. But who did enough to clinch the cash?

    Meanwhile, in the GT4 category, Daytona winner Michael Moorley was once again in the running. But Andrew Waring and Sam Fellows - who ran out of fuel on his last lap at Daytona - brought big challenges this week. Check out the YouTube stream to see who came away with

    Registration for Round 3 of the Racing Edge SimRacing Series Season 2 at Watkins Glen is now open. The race takes place on Tuesday June 23rd, 2020 at 7pm EST (4pm PST).
