This formidable racer was built by Automatic Racing for Grand Am GS class racing. It was rebuilt in 2017/18 by Turner Motorsports and wrapped in full TM scheme post-rebuild. However, it remains unraced by Turner in Grand Am.
This BMW E92 M3 is an excellent track car. Exterior body work features carbon fiber hood, roof, doors, front splitter with integrated brake ducts, rear wing and uprights with adjustable angle plates.
The package includes three complete sets of Forgeline 3-piece wheels.
The Dinan Stroker S65 4.6-liter motor has under 30 hours’ usage and is built to competition specs. There is a small hairline crack in the block dur to porous engine casting. A new block is required but all rotating and internal engine parts are in good condition.
The BMW E92 M3 engine is dry-sumped with reservoir mounted on right side of the cockpit inside a protective case. It includes a remote mounted oil filter. Engine ECU is Bosch MS4.3 per Grand Am GS specs. A spare, brand-new Fletcher-built S65 motor to Grand Am specs is included.
Gear box is a manual Getrag 6-speed OEM and recently rebuilt DiffsOnline rear gear comes with freshly rebuilt rear axles. Chassis power distribution is via Motec PDM and Motec ADL2 digital dash is installed with full logging capabilities.
Includes recently rebuilt and dyno-serviced MCS two-way adjustable remote reservoir dampeners. This racer contains ATL Super Cell 25-gallon fuel cell (new in 2019) with Bosch 044 high-pressure pump installed inside ‘Black Box’ in tank for single fuel pump system.
The BMW E92 M3 also comes with Alcon front and rear brake caliper package installed new in 2019. Six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers (372 x 32 front rotors, 350 x 32 rear rotors) as well as Project Mu H16 brake pads fitted. The calipers and pads are spec’d to work with OEM master cylinder setup. OEM Continental ABS system functions with upgrade kit.
Installed as new in 2019 include Simpson SFI 16.5 custom belts, Simpson SFI left and right race nets and Simpson SFI window net. Installed in 2018 was the Lifeline 3.0kg Novec fire system with electronic discharge.
Another distinct feature of this excellent BMW E92 M3 includes a Racetech Halo seat 4119 WTHR (expires 2019) mounted on a slider for easier driver entry and endurance-style driver swaps.
Car contains Sparco steering wheel installed on quick-release, an electronically-heated front windshield for de-fogging and Aim Smarty Cam V1.
